Missing 14-year-old girl found in teacher’s home
A male teacher from Clarendon was arrested last weekend after a 14-year-old girl who had been reported missing, was found hiding in his home by the police.
According to the police, the operation was based on intelligence they received about the child’s whereabouts.
On Saturday they arrived at the teacher’s home and began knocking, but no one answered.
Sometime after, the teacher arrived at the premise but told the police it was not his house.
“The officers took the key from the teacher, tried the lock, and entered the house where they found the girl hiding,” said a source.
The Star understands that the teacher previously worked at a primary school, and is currently employed at a high school, both in the parish.
The Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) is investigating the matter.
