Open Sunday’s Super 6 with Talona, Hooray Henry
START Sunday's Reggae 6 with two bold bankers, TALONA aimed down in class on a $500,000 tag, and HOORAY HENRY, Peter-John Parsard's three-year-old, who was outgunned on the lead at five furlongs round by fellow debutant MINNEHAHA on Ash Wednesday.
TALONA last raced on a $700,000 tag from stall one at five furlongs straight, carrying the field onto the main track, before weakening into fourth a furlong out behind UNCAPTURED EMPRESS, DREAM TO REALITY and DESIGN DIVA.
Speediest in the line-up and favourably drawn at post-position three, TALONA should enjoy an unmolested lead into the straight, a momentum which should take her home before the closers come calling.
Similarly, HOORAY HENRY, who was hustled from the gate to go after MINNEHAHA, should dominate the speed at six furlongs against fellow three-year-old maiden runners.
Go three-deep in the next three events. STAR QUEST, LOCKDOWN and BOB THE BUILDER should cover the third at seven and a half furlongs.
MIDNIGHT RUNNER, MY ECLIPSE and BLIND VENGEANCE is a solid trio to trust in the fourth, before treating the fifth similarly, CHESNEY, GOLDEN LAWYER and BOMB NIGHT at seven furlongs.
Close the Reggae 6 with REPORTABLE OFFENSE and BADBADTANESHA at five and a half furlongs. The trip suits BADBADTANESHA but she can be caught again by REPORTABLE OFFENSE, who had relegated her to fourth with a strong late kick at six furlongs.
