Up-and-coming dancehall artiste Chad Hype recently released the visuals for his latest single, Badman House Party.

He said that he has been recording music professionally for a decade but so far, that big hit has been elusive. He believes that the song, which is on the ‘Active’ rhythm, will be his breakout single.

Badman House Party is produced by Shabdon Records and 300 Milli Entertainment. It’s just a track talking about having fun. It’s basically a dancing song, but we just use the title. But it’s really a girl song about having fun,” he said. The track was recorded in May and will be his first musical release for the year.

“The theme of Badman House Party is men and women gyrating and enjoying themselves in a party setting and bringing back dancehall the way it used to be, contrary to what it is now. Men are dancing by themselves and have become the centre of attraction. Dancing is an important factor of our culture and must be enjoyed by both men and women,” he said.

Chad Hype said that he also hopes the track will help to broaden the reach of his brand as currently, he is predominantly known in the Corporate Area.

“Me have a fan base inna Kingston, so mi can’t say my name is not a household name. People know me in Kingston ‘cause I’ve been doing shows and putting in work over the years. But mi just no get the breakthrough song yet,” he said. “I’ve been honing my skills for several years now, improving and perfecting my craft, and I am confident that the masses will love it. The people must first love you and the hit single will come.”

Chad Hype, whose given name is Chadwick Dilano May, is the son of dancehall veteran artiste Flourgon, but is committed to earning his own recognition through merit and hard work.

“Music a just my destiny and mi just born to do music. Music a just my life; me try many other things and dem just never work ” he admitted.

Chad Hype previously released singles like 300 Mill and Real Star.
